Sweet and Chili Barbecue Sauce Chicken Poppers

For 2 persons


  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon barbecue sauce
  • 100g honey
  • Your favorite chili powder of PepperukoHK, 1 teaspoon (more or less to taste)
  • 130g flour
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • oil, for frying


Slice chicken breasts into a 4cm piece.

Marinate the chicken with the salt, black pepper powder, garlic powder and onion powder.

Place the flour and eggs into two bowls.

Toss the chicken into the flour, then the egg, then back into the flour.

Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy.

Set aside on a paper towel to drain.

In a small pot over medium heat, mix together the honey, orange juice, ketchup, barbecue sauce and chili powder.

Bring the sauce to a simmer, and cook for one minute.

Dip the chicken in the sauce until evenly glazed.
