Salmorejo – Spanish Tomato Cold Soup

For 2 persons


  • 600 g mature tomato, remove the stem, cut into pieces
  • 300 g watermelon, peeled, cut into pieces
  • 1 clover of garlic, peeled
  • Salt (more or less to taste)
  • 200 ml olive oil
  • 200 g baguette, cut into pieces
  • 50 ml white vinegar
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • Your favorite chili powder of PepperukoHK, ½ teaspoon (more or less to taste)


Tomato, watermelon, baguette, garlic, salt, olive oil, white vinegar, all put in the blender, blend until smooth.

Put the soup into the refrigerator over night.

Add the diced cucumber, sprinkle the chili powder, little bit olive oil for decoration before you enjoy the soup.

Serve with bread and enjoy.
